What is a Photon Echo?  When I came up with the name Photon Echoes, I didn't realize that such a thing actually existed in quantum optics.  My idea of Photon Echoes was like an "impression in time" made by photons striking a film plane or imaging sensor capturing a moment that no longer exists.  The residual impression of light photons reacting with the imaging medium still exists as a photographic image; an echo of that moment in time.
